Team Scout please help keep our scout groups open

My Story
Hi everyone my name is Archie Mackay. I am 12 years old and I really wanted to try and raise some money by joining #raceroundtheworld. My Scout troop is called 3rd Crown Inverness and it's brilliant.
I really do not want Scouts to close because it's so much fun. I want other kids to experience what I have experienced. Scouts is a great place to learn skills you don't learn at school, meet friends and the camps are awesome.
Also this year has been so strange and Scouts Has helped a lot with all there awesome ideas and online events. it would be nice if you could read below, I didn't write it but it explains the problem scouts are facing due to money.
My plan is to be part of team Scouts and cycle/walk as many miles as I can before the cutoff date (11th December) I will update my miles as I go along on this page. I have looked at Google maps to check my miles. I plan cycleing to school and back everyday and doing walks after school with my friends. Also big walks at the weekend 💪 Any sponsorship to help Scouts carry on would be so helpful.
thank you all for reading 😊
Archie
COVID-19 is the biggest crisis we've faced in a generation
Now, over 500 Scout groups across the UK - many of them based in communities that were already made vulnerable before the virus hit - are struggling.
If these groups close, thousands of young people will miss out on all the life-changing skills and experiences being a Scout can bring, precisely when they need us most.
That's why we're calling all Scouts (and the people who care about them) to join us in a sponsored, virtual #RaceRoundTheWorld to raise vital funds at this vital moment in our history and keep our Scouts groups open.
